Bake: Oatmeal Scotchies

Tryin' it on new grounds.

I love oatmeal cookies. Who doesn't?When I saw Hershey's Butterscotch chips at the store, I had to give them a try. On the back of the package was a recipe, THIS recipe! I was nervous about making it at first, but then I gave it a try! And let me tell you, they were superb. The best cookies I've had in a long time. Now, the recipe's cookie doesn't turn out very big or very fluffy. Its a dense, small cookie. But it is SO good. You have to give it a try, even if you don't like Butterscotch. I didn't, but I gave it a shot anyway. And boy was I surprised! Here's the recipe,

Hershey's Oatmeal Scotchies
-3/4 cup: butter
-3/4 cup: granulated sugar
-3/4 cup: packed light brown sugar
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon: vanilla extract
-1 1/4 cups: white flour
-1 teaspoon: baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon: ground cinnamon
-1/2 teaspoon: salt
-3 cups: quick cooking or regular rolled oats
-1 3/4 cups: Hershey’s butterscotch chips

~Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and line your baking sheet with tin foil.~

In a smaller bowl, sift together your dry ingredients. Set aside. Then in a larger mixing bowl, cream together your sugars and butter. Add in your eggs and vanilla, mix well. Then add in your dry mix, a little at a time until it is completely combined. Add in your oats and butterscotch chips. Bake in your oven for 8-10 minutes.

Much Love,
Cat
